Halong Bay is often referred by the Vietnamese as the eight wonder of the world. Halong is mesmerizing with its serene waters and many limestone mountains scattered in the waterscape. Halong in Vietnamese literally means the Descending Dragon. The Halong Bay lies at a distance of 165km from Hanoi. The sand in this part of the beach is dark and visitors can hire a boat from this spot to head to the bay.
